Kramer Gun Belts
Kramer Leather is owned and operated by Greg Kramer, and is based in Tacoma, WA. Although Greg does some gun gear
in both cowhide and horsehide leather, he is far better known for his horsehide gear.
Kramer produces gun belts in both cowhide and horsehide. They offer both a double ply belt and a single ply
belt in 1 1/4", 1 1/2", and 1 3/4" widths. I've seen and worn both the single ply and double ply versions. In my humble
opinion, the single ply version is better suited as a dress belt or as a standard gun belt. Although the single ply is a very nice belt, it
really lacks the strength to support gun gear long term. Again, in my humble opinion, the double ply models make a far better gun belt.
Kramer makes some really nice gear, but it isn't cheap (nothing good ever is). Expect to spend somewhere between $75.00
(single ply cow) to $130 (double thick horse). If you are interested in a Kramer belt, I'd recommend giving some
serious consideration to the double ply horsehide version. It isn't really that much more expensive than the cowhide version
(about $15.00 more), and it's extremely durable. I've got one that I've had for years, and it's still in excellent shape. I could
probably polish it up, post it for sale on a shooting forum somewhere, and recoup close to half or more of my original investment.
I don't have any pics of the Kramer belts, but I'll try to get some up ASAP.
