Don Hume Gun Belts

Based in Miami, Oklahoma, Don Hume Leathergoods deals in leather and ballistic nylon.  I'm not a fan of their ballistic nylon belts at all, so I'm going to focus on their line of leather gun belts.  Don Hume makes both duty gear gun belts and trouser gun belts.  The trouser gun belts come in a 1 1/4, 1 1/2", or 1 3/4" width and are available in both a single thickness and a double thick belt.

Take my advice and forget about their single ply gun belts as they just aren't substantial enough to really be called a gun belt.  I tried one and it barely kept the holster up.

Now their double thick line of gun belts isn't bad and is priced fairly well.  They are available in either a black or a saddle brown color, and come with a brass or nickel buckle. About the only thing I'm not really crazy about with the Don Hume line of belts is the finish.  It consists of a spray on dye followed by a clear coat of some type of varnish. It's not detrimental to the performance of the belt in any way, but it has a high gloss type finish that I just don't care for.

Hume Gun Belt

In my opinion, the best of the lot is the Don Hume model 1 1/2" B-109L Lined gun belt seen above. It's really their top of the line gun belt, and comes at a very reasonable price.

Be careful of the sizing on the Don Hume line, as they seem to run smaller than other manufacturers that I've tried. Every Hume belt I own seems to run about 2 sizes larger than my actual waist size.
